About the Creator of PageMath
Clarence William Page (the creator of PageMath) was born on January 28, 1947 to Clarence Page and Elma Brady Page. His parents were agricultural sharecroppers.
In the Summer 1964, between his Junior and Senior years in high school, Clarence enlisted in the North Carolina Army National Guard. He was seventeen years old. Throughout his senior year in high school, Clarence was a soldier, drilling with the North Carolina National Guard once a month.
In June 1965 Clarence graduated from Upchurch High School, Raeford, North Carolina. Upon graduating from high school, Clarence reported to Basic Training at the U.S. Army military post of Fort Jackson, South Carolina. Upon completing Basic Training, Clarence reported to the U.S. Army Medical Training Center (MTC) at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. Clarence successfully completed that training and was conferred the certificate of U.S. Army Medical Corpsman (often called "combat medic").
In January 1966 Clarence entered North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University (A&T) in Greensboro, North Carolina. He graduated in 1970, having been conferred the degree of Bachelor of Science in Political Science.
Upon completing his collegiate studies at A&T, and having completed Advanced Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) studies, Clarence was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the United States Army. In the Army, Clarence was a Military Intelligence Officer. He was an instructor on the faculty of the United States Army Military Intelligence School. He also served as a Special Agent (investigator).
While in the U.S. Army, Clarence pursued graduate studies through the University of Arizona.
In 1973, upon having completed his military obligation, Clarence accepted a position with the Prudential Insurance Company of America. Having married while in the Army, Clarence and his wife (Vivian) moved to Orange, New Jersey.
In order to qualify to serve in the position of Division Manager (at Prudential) Clarence and his fellow coworkers were required to complete an eighteen months training program at Prudential's Management Development Agency (MDA) in Newark, New Jersey. Clarence completed the course of study and was assigned to the position of Division Manager.
His wife, Vivian, taught in the Newark, New Jersey school system.
A few years later, Clarence started his own business and eventually resigned from Prudential. Later, Clarence founded Consumers Insurance Services, Inc. and operated it approximately ten years. Consumers Insurace Services, Inc. was located in East Orange, New Jersey.
Clarence and his family became members of New Hope Baptist Church of East Orange, located in East Orange, New Jersey. Clarence was asked to serve as a church Deacon. He was later Called into Christian Ministry and was Ordained by the Permanent Council of North Jersey Missionary Baptist Association.
In 1989 Clarence and Vivian moved their family to Greensboro, North Carolina. Their family had now increased to four (a son and a daughter having been born).
In Greensboro, North Carolina, Trinity Baptist Church was founded by Clarence and his family. The congregation met in various locations. At present, Trinity Baptist Church is primarily an Internet ministry ( Trinity Baptist Church ).
While in the Piedmont Triad (where Greensboro is located), Clarence has held many positions. Those include teaching for Guilford Technical Community College, Managing Gospel Radio stations WTNC and WPOL, serving in various positions in the Department of Housing and Residence Life at his alma mater (A&T), working in business, etc.
Clarence William Page is an Internet webmaster, a Certified Network Expert, a broadcast minister, and the founder of Standard Contactors Group (which is located in High Point, North Carolina). At the time of this writing, Clarence and his wife reside in High Point, North Carolina.
